    and so are you.

  2. Lisa says:

e.e. cummings writes so beautifully, and your art gives another layer of feeling to the words. thank you, rachel.

    i love ee cummings.
    your blog is so sweet.
    i bet you are too.

  4. I like that.

I read recently in a book that one should try to say “yes” to one’s partner more. Sometimes it’s easier to say no, but yes, can be so uplifting and encouraging when you hear it from your Love.
    yes, yes, yes.

  5. rachel awes says:

*faiza* your kindness keeps trickling through like a sweet brook. thank you.

*lisa* & your words give another (lovely) layer as well! thank you.

*chrissy* all of it/right back at ya! thank you.

  12. Anairam says:

Thanks for popping in to my blog, Rachel! Your drawings are lovely – so simple, yet powerful – a perfect way to illustrate cummings’s words. I have been thinking about the “yes” message – being in a very unpleasant situation currently where we (my husband & I) have had to say an emphatic “no”. Saying “yes’ would have been easier, but not the right way to go, we believe. Saying “no” will have a long-lasting effect – and some of that effect might be uncomfortable and akward for us in the years to come. Sigh. But I DO say “yes” to living life with integrity!

  13. rachel I’m so happy you popped over because it brought me to you and your wonderful art and words. holy moly! I’m completely enamored by your style. I’ll be back regularly! Yes yes yes!
