elly says “through the gully that winds through the woods, they took the long way home. they named the route the cathedral way for the branches met where the light liked to play and the bird sang such heavenly songs.”

and “the other that i attached reminds me of the sound of fall, from the geese to the wind. i grew up out in the country and love going for walks, closing my eyes and taking in the season with the sounds.”

elly mackay is a paper artist. her work can be found on etsy and in her books. her first book was released this year, if you hold a seed. she is currently working on several other books. she lives with her husband and two little ones on georgian bay, ontario, canada.
