By Rachel Awes on February 28, 2011

i was recently asked if i would draw something
about learning to love ourselves…
& because it seems
we are all in this same soup
together,
i lept forward with
a bounty of !yes!

  24. Yael says:

I don’t think we can love and embrace others if we do not love our own being as it is…

And it is so worthwhile to love and nourish our dear selves, because we are a friend and companion to ourselves who will be ALWAYS there, who can be always relied on, who can be always trusted, who will NEVER leave us, who will comfort us in loneliness and despair if we allow it, and who will be our happiness! Why shouldn’t we love and nourish this dear, wonderful, marvelous friend?

  25. Oh, I love your art, the love showering from the water bucket and how the little girl is catching and soaking it all up! Dreamy and just what the doctor ordered!
Thank you for the sounds and smells, I heard and tasted them when I read it. Beautiful message, thank you so much!
    Lovexx
