sand dollars

someone brought me back a sand dollar from a beach. i set it on my desk & it set itself on my heart. i share these riches here with each of you.

    i remember finding one and giving
    it to this little girl because i wasn’t sure
    if she had ever seen one before…it made me smile…

    how beautiful to bring some of the outside in.

    i don’t think i’ve ever actually seen a sand dollar fresh from the sand before. i’ve only seend ones that have been prettied up to be paper weights or ornamental things.
