story time
By Rachel Awes on January 17, 2011
from a friend
& included now is my illustration…
the text reads as follows:
a blue bird came to me this morning.
wake up, wake up was his song.
go away, go away, i don’t want to start my day.
but the day is beautiful.
i don’t care…
the blue bird kept nagging & begging,
get up, go out, the sun will warm you.
leave me alone…
the blue bird flew away,
up high into the sky.
it came back with a ray from the sun
& laid it on my face.
i got up & went out.
it was a beautiful day…
~
(blue bird love to each of YOU today. xox)

i sat outside this morning in the cold.
it was not too cold, i had a warm sweater and a cup of coffee in hand. it was so very good to be outside, with the cold and snow we have had i have stayed inside too long.
fresh air is so needed is it not??
Grace and peace to you dear Rachel
